Firsts

Happy Thursday everyone!

I saw this survey on Nicole’s blog Apples and Arteries yesterday and thought it was fun.  I really like reading about people through these kinds of things.

1.  First thing you do when you wake up in the AM.

-Wash my face…it helps me wake up.

2.  First thing you reach for when you open the fridge.

-I try not to keep snacks/junk food in the house so I only usually go in the fridge if I need a drink or if I am making a meal.  I keep refillable water bottles in the fridge that I can throw into the dishwasher after each use and just fill up in the sink..they come in handy.

3.  First thing you do when you go to the gym.

-I usually go to the bathroom one last time.  I have the smallest bladder in the world and if I don’t go right when I get there I have to stop in the middle of my workouts to go.

4.  First thing you do when you get home from work.

-Let out buddy…he is usually a crazy man and is so excited we get home that he jumps all over the place.

5.  First car.

My first car was a Mazda 626…I don’t remember the year…it was silver/gold.  My parents surprised me with it on my birthday…it was like a movie…it had a big red bow on it.  I’m sure I was a big dork and cried because I was so excited.

6. First car accident/traffic violation.

-My first car accident was at about age 18…some dummy made a u-turn in front of me and I ended up rear ending them.  It didn’t do any damage to their van but my car was totaled

-My first traffic violation….I got pulled over for the first time when I was 23-ish….I had expired plates (2 years expired).  I don’t know how they got that expired….but they did.

7.  First thing you wanted to be when you grew up.

-I don’t really remember the first thing I wanted to be.  My mom said I always told her where I wanted to work..I don’t remember this….but it is funny because that is where I work now!

8.  First choice beverage.

-Last week I would have said soda….but I gave that up!  So now I would say water or lemonade.

9.  First choice breakfast.

-I hate breakfast food so it is really hard for me to find stuff I like.  I usually stick with a frozen waffle with pb or a bowl of cereal.

10.  First choice dessert.

-Ice cream is my all time favorite dessert!  Close second is white cake with thick icing.

11.  First song that comes to mind.

-The Friends theme song…that is what is on tv right now.

12.  First major purchase.

-After I got my first real job I bought myself a nice watch.  I for some reason thought that having a real job meant wearing a watch…I think I have wore it a handful of times…the battery is now dead.

13.  First job.

-I was a receptionist at a car dealership on the weekends in the winter and a lifeguard in the summer…all through high school and college.

14.  First time you flew on a plane.

-I think when I was 15…we went to Mexico for family vacation.  I might have flown on one before that but I can’t remember it.
